I love rinse less washes and have built a collection of the best ones. I see them as a replacement for shampoo but only after a prewash with say Touch-less. I also find them useless for wheel cleaning but for contact washing after a proper prewash/decon it’s nice to not have to rinse down the car again and some of them leave a beautiful glossy shine behind. I never understand the hype around going straight in on a dirty car with them etc. I think they have been mis-sold to some degree as when used for the lane they are intended for they are great but there is like a cult around them for some reason of being some all around magic potion. 😅

Prewash with touchless and then bucket wash with something like ONR is a fantastic way to clean a car tbf. ONR is a very decent interior cleaner and a glass cleaner too IMO.

Whoop whoop 🎉 a proper rinseless mega test! They do clean well! I use it on glass, tyres, on the interior. The new rinseless washes are fantastic. Please include Armour detail supplies Hero and Labocosmetica Idrosave, try and get Imran to get hold of DIY detail rinseless wash Version 2 it's been released about 2 weeks ago in the states which means we'll be a month behind. Koch Chemie have brought out RRW. A few are being released. I think even Gtechiq are in development with a Rinseless.

If you do 1:1 dilution ratio or a 3% PIR descale as a spot remover will probably work then

John I WILL cry over the loss of the long format vids on your channel, and I will toss my little legs and grunt with displeasure.. I really like them, I tend to watch only longer ones that also educate me in some way. Also as some mentioned here hybrid washing with rinsless (prewash with something alkaline like BH and then a good rinsless) has yielded exemplary results for me, just as a normal wash, but you REALLY need to try some of the new rinsless washes, especially the more cleaning ones (pls leave mckeys and onr in the past - they where good but are pale in comparison to the new ones in terms of cleaning ability) like DIY Detail (my fav, for me a godlike product top tier) Feynlab v5 (I think) Gyeon Eco Wash, Koch Rrw (when it will be accessible in Poland my god Koch get your asses of the couch and bring some here, we're your neighbors..) Out of curiosity, do you not test garage therapy products any more? There doesn’t seem to be any on your shelf that I notice either. The updated sigma, could be a valid option for that mega test, as well as Gyeon cure redefined, or carpro reload 2.0. Or do you consider those different product categories? I know it’s hard to test every option out there. Just curious. Keep up the good work Jon. I bought bead cote because of the review the other week. 😅

You assume that longer format doesn't work on youtube, let me tell you about my pov. If you can make it interesting, and not long for the sake of long, then longer format is absolutely working. First, your channel: in top 10 views, there are 5 videos above 30 min. Now big detailing channel: WD detailing top 10 all are 30min long; Stauffer garage top 10 all 20min long; mad detailing top 10 all 30min long; detail geek top 10 all 30 to 40min long. Now what i watch more than pure detailing videos: automotive channels: vice grip garage, 10 recent videos: all 1 hour to 3 hours long, 1 million views to 2 millions. M539 top 10 5 videos above 1 hours long 2-3 milions views. There is a trend for younger audience towards clips and short format, but there is also an audience that's getting older and don't watch tv. I'm not watching tv, so long youtube videos is great and i think the numbers speak toward that. Clips and shorts don't bring money to the creators, on tiktok it's even worst. Meanwhile 1 hour youtube videos can support loads of ads. Shorts and tiktok is worth if it allows you to bring new viewers to your content. That's their purpose for most content creators. I still hope you start bringing longer videos, not really for tests, but more bringing back a car. Like the defender video, that was great content. Or golf gti.

Hybridize your content. For comparison videos. You could do shorter videos 3-10mins for each product. Show the Money shots (beading pics), state the pros and cons. And then long form for the comparison videos.

Still my fav car detailing channel. I have some nice bronze powder coated wheels that suffer from water marks. What do you recommend Jon?

Do a hybrid wash, pre wash with Touch-Less then use a rinseless like ADS Hero or DIY Detail, I’m surprised to be saying it myself as I’ve never really been a rinseless fan but decided to dive a little deeper into it this year, hybrid washing could actually become my go to. Less water on the car due to no second rinse, so easier to dry, No drying soap or trying to keep it wet, Less issues with water spots in hot/sunny weather, Won’t need BH QD as a drying aid if you don’t want one.

Man, watching you spray that cleaning solution on the labels while they were still in the bottle made my OCD explode. And then, while my brain was still hurting, you pulled them out to write on them. Now, when you put the labels back in, they're sitting in cleaning solution. 😢 Also, I don't have TikTok and I never will. So I'm a big fan of your UA-cam channel. I think new and experienced detailers value your content. It is so easy to get taken in by the many detailers on UA-cam, and you will soon have a cupboard full of barely used products. I have a friend who runs a very successful detailing business, and he only has a few products! As far as the Collonite Beadcoats goes it died on my wife's car after a month. I have lots of sprayable products but if you want longevity I think Gyeon CanCoat is hard to beat.

I've been using auto finesse lavish on my customers cars and i must say the reactions i get are amazing leaves the paint very glossy and really hydrophobic.

I dream of those, still after so much time, none of these in Poland... i cry..

John, have you ever been involved with wash slickness testing, are we just conditioned to loving suds and assuming it adds safety, as you say its whats in the solution that matters. Personally the user experience is a massive part of this hobby, so it's hard to see the market for these products particularly as they are rather expensive per wash.

Armor All products are all trash. Haven't you guys in the U.K. caught on to this yet ? Ceramic washes due to the chemistry are low foaming. The only one to impress me has been Koch Chemie Nano Magic Shampoo which beads like crazy. And that is at the dilution ratios on the bottle. The down side is that the shampoo is the most expensive i have ever seen.

We are not American's, we don't need stupid amounts of foam to wash a car!

I bought gyeon bathe essence concentrate,even worse foaming at indicated dosage.

I’ve been using the Turtle wax ceramic wash and it doesn’t foam at all. Odd experience. Does a good job but you need quite a lot. Not sure if these products are worth the money. My car is always kept clean and waxed. It’s like I’ve got a bucket of water. One cap per litre.

Once you dip wash mitt and wash a couple of panels, the foam is gone from the bucket.😑

Have you tried Griots’ ceramic shampoo? It’s low foaming but not bad protection!

I know they dont really affect the cleaning but a good deep bucket of bubles transfered to your paint surface makes you feel ss if it is cleaning the car

Usually my Shelby ceramic shampoo suds up great through my foam cannon and saves me on product 👍🏼

Why don’t you try Shelby ceramic coating and detailer , ceramic shampoo ! It’s been my favourite for the last year 😎

Tac's Mystic Water Repellent is the most foaming ceramic shampoo I've used. Try that next time!
